EDNova Academy is please to partner with Challenge School to provide an all-round curriculum for your student.

Please fill out the following online application form. If you have more than one child who would like to be considered admission to our Academy, each child has to complete a separate application.

Note that all students who are applying for admission to our Advanced Math Programs must take a Math placement test to determine eligibility. Once we received your application, we will contact you to schedule an appointment for the mandatory placement test.

Please note that the Maker + Grade Level Math Program ($2000 for 36 weeks + $25 material fee per month) will NOT advance your child into Advanced Math programs. Students who choose to participate in this program will receive materials and be taught at their current school level in Mathematics. Students who are looking to challenge themselves in more advanced Math materials are advised to choose one of the other two options.

No placement test is necessary for Option 1. Note that applying for Option 2 or 3 does not guarantee admittance. For advanced Math students who would like to participate in Option 2 or 3, a mandatory Math Placement test is in order to determine eligibility. Our staff will contact you once we received this application to arrange a time for the placement test.

Parent's Information

IMPORTANT – Please read the following guidelines carefully before submitting your student’s application.

  • To ensure your student has access to the best resources and is learning from a domain experts who know how to teach and can consistently provide high quality, high impact meaningful learning, all our instructors and TAs are heavily screened. Our instructors all have teaching experience at college level and hold at least a Master degree, if not, a Doctoral degree on the course subjects they teach here at EDNova Academy.
  • Students who would like to be considered admission to the Academy should committee to our 36-week program. We do not accept on-and-off attendance. No exceptions will be made. If continual attendance is not possible for your student, then our program is not a good fit for your student’s need.
  • EDNova Academy aims to provide rigorous STEM curricula that challenge our students to reason analytically, think creatively, and argue critically. Our supportive environment fosters independence, strength of character, and a lifelong pursuit of knowledge. We strive to provide our students with an extraordinary education. We realize there are many companies out there that do tutoring services. Students who are looking to catch up with school work are advised to consider those establishments.
  • Since all our courses follow a rigorous curriculum that spans continuously from late August 2016 to mid June 2017. Skipping classes may result in missing crucial building blocks to the next concept. Thus, our academy discourages missing more than one lesson per month. We do, however, understand that at times absences cannot be avoided. Therefore, we do provide one free makeup session per month if your student needs to be absent from class. All missed lessons must be made up within one week from the day of absence. On top of the one free make up session, students can choose to make up missing materials on their own or request a make-up session with us at $35/session. There is no refund for missed classes.
  • EDNova Academy takes your student’s learning very seriously. Students who missed substantial number of classes and are not willing to make up missing materials will result in dismissal from the Academy. This is to ensure your student will never be dragged back by habitual absentees and unmotivated students. We strive to cultivate a positive nurturing environment that is highly effective so your student will receive the best learning experience, hence, the most productive results.
  • EDNova Academy caps enrollment for each class at 12 students. No exceptions will be made. However, we do carry a wait list for students who are interested in joining us. If we have 5 students on the wait list, we will open a new class for that course.
  • Punctuality and good conduct are highly observed at the Academy. Interruptions due to late arrivals or bad conducts are extremely distracting, disrupting, and disrespectful to both the instructors and their fellow classmates. Habitually tardiness and misconducts may result in dismissal from the Academy.
  • EDNova Academy does not provide afterschool care program except for students who are affiliated with Challenge School on Wednesdays & Fridays. EDNova Academy students should not arrive more than 15 minutes before class commences and have to be picked up or sign themselves out within 15 minutes after class dismissal. Habitual late pick up will result in penalty fine. Challenge School students has to be picked up by 6:00 pm. Late pick up will incur a late pick-up fine of $1 per minute.

  • STEM curriculum includes but not limited to: 3D design & printing, story telling and animation with augmented reality, basic circuitry just to name a few. *Regular STEM class is $240 + $25 material fee per month.
  • School Level Math curriculum option allows students to preview school materials ahead of school schedule. However, material taught will stay at the students’ current grade level. No placement test is required to join this curriculum.
  • The Advanced Math curriculum option seeks to provide rising and highly acheving 5th - 8th grade students an opportunity to live Math at the fullest. All our Advanced Math courses are designed by our founder Dr. Wong who aims to expose our Academy students to the beauty of advanced mathematical ideas and to new ways of thinking and problem solving. Students who are interested in joining our Advanced Math curricula are required to take a mandatory placement test. Result of the placement test determines admission eligibility.
  • Registration fee is waived for students who are affiliated with Challenge School. There is a $50 material fee for each Math course due at the time of registration.
  • Tuition is due in the form of checks payable to EDNova Academy. Monthly installment is available for year-round program. Tuition payment is due on or before the 3rd of each month. Late payment will incur a 5% late fee. No exceptions.
