Content, Capstone Projects, and Assessment Advisors

EDNova Academy strives to enrich our students’ learning experience by providing relevant and significant capstone projects that has practical applications. Our advisory board helps brainstorm and creates capstone project ideas that fit our students’ interests from across industries.


Magdalena Mok, Ph.D.

Dr. Mok is Chair Professor of Assessment and Evaluation. She is also Director of Assessment Research Centre at The Hong Kong Institute of Education. She completed her undergraduate study at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She has M.Sc. degree from the University of Glasgow and PhD degree from The University of Hong Kong. She is Editor of Educational Psychology: An International Journal of Experimental Educational Psychology.  She has won research grants from the Hong Kong Research Grants Council.  She works in the area of assessment and self-directed learning with a special interest in Self-directed Learning Oriented Assessment. She has published extensively in these areas. Professor Mok has undertaken numerous consultancy research projects tendered by governments and NGOs in Australia and Hong Kong.

 

Vincent Xiang, Ph.D., MBA

Dr. Xiang is Managing Director and head of International Investments and BD at Humanwell Healthcare Group. Prior to that, Dr. Xiang worked as Managing Director of Burrill Life Science Venture Fund. He was VP and Portfolio Manager/Analyst at Franklin Templeton, investing in global life science companies at all stages since 2004.  Dr. Xiang was VP of business development at Genyous, a biotech start-up.  He worked as director of venture investment at Acacia Research, and as associate at BioAdvance, a healthcare VC fund. He was an Irvington Fellow at Skirball Center and licensed his patented technology to Millennium Pharmaceutical for royalty payments.  Dr. Xiang began his career at Shanghai Biological Product Corporation in China. He has focused on life science industry for 20 years. Dr. Xiang received his Ph.D. in molecular biology in four years with four first author papers from SUNY at Stony Brook. He also holds an MBA from the Wharton School. He graduated from Fudan University with a bachelor’s degree in immunology and microbiology.

 

Grace Yee, M.S., MBA

Ms. Grace received a MS in Engineering, an MBA from UC Berkeley Haas School of Business. She also holds an Early Childhood Program Director permit from California Department of Education. Ms. Yee has over 10 years of experience in engineering and product management. Currently, Ms. Yee is the Executive Director of Challenge School located in Foster City, CA and Belmont, CA.
